on top of the g:id that Alex references, I notice that you are missing
the atom <category> element.  It is referenced in the documention but
I don't know if google requires it, but I don't think your XML would
validate as an atom feed without it.  If they've tightened up their
validation it could cause a failure.  An example(pulled from my code):
