Hello - The new Marketplace/Aggregator policy of having to submit all Marketplace Sellers' products on behalf of the sellers brings up a few questions:
(1) Is there an automated way to create sub-accounts? If a Marketplace has hundreds (our position) of individual sellers, creating these accounts by hand would be time-consuming. Reading the Marketplace & Aggregator Policies (http://base.google.com/support/bin/ answer.py?answer=159581&&hl=en) this does seem to be the proper way to do this: "Each individual seller should be in a separate sub- account." Also, there's a certain amount of flux as sellers close-up shop or new sellers open, so automating this would be much more efficient. To be extra clear, I'm thinking of something like a REST API with requests for creating & deleting sub-accounts and, given a sub- account, specifying the data-feed attributes (filename, sub-account URL, etc.). If something like this already exists, just point me to it; I haven't seen anything beyond a product granularity in the APIs as I've perused them. (2) What is Google Base recommending for large numbers of sub-account uploads? From what I can gather, it looks as if the most efficient way to upload the individual files is via FTP with seller-specific filenames. Thank you, and have a great day. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Base Data API" group.
