I wonder if this is related to an issue I am having. I tried posting this here about a week ago, but that post is still 'waiting to be approved by moderators' because I am a new poster here. I also tried sending Google Merchant Center support an email about this a week ago too, but no response.
I've noticed that since about a week or two ago even though I've made no changes to what I am doing when I create a data feed through the API it is defaulting to "shopping.com" feed format. I can't seem to get this to change to "google base" and there is no documented way of setting the feed format through the API, such as gb:feed_format It's a pretty significant problem, and I see now way to solve it except to manually change each account and feed (obviously not an ideal solution). As a result if I uploaded items I see 0 out of 1000 items inserted as well. Have you checked all of your feed setting to ensure they are as you expect them to be?
