I'm not aware of any current limit on the max-results or any change regarding this. We actually state that you should use a large number if you wish to retrieve an entire feed (see http://code.google.com/apis/gdata/protocol.html#Queries). I will continue to post any changes here to the groups. The recently-mentioned fix regarding the 'next' links should help you retrieve an entire feed as well, in case your 'large number' isn't large enough. FWIW, I tried passing a large number (100000) for max-results and was able to get back all 2000 events I had inserted into a calendar.
