When attempting to update an event in a secondary calendar, Google Calendar 
returns the error in this post's title about 80% of the time.  The other 20% 
of the time, the update works properly.

A typical test might go like this (with all attempts being conducted in the 
same way):

     Attempt 1: ERROR 500

     Attempt 2: ERROR 500

     Attempt 3: ERROR 500

     Attempt 4: Successful

Updates like this worked fine in the past (3-4 months ago), never generating 
any errors.

I mentioned that I am updating a secondary calendar after reading several 
posts with similar problems which all seemed to deal with secondary 
calendars.  I have not tried this with the main calendar.

I am sending Google Calendar HTTP messages containing data in XML.  Here is 
a typical case (the only value changed from the event XML retrieved from 
Google Calendar is the event title):
