Same issue here, since a couple of weeks, many Error 500 when trying
to delete eventes, using the simple code that worked for more than one
year without issues :

    Call xmlhttp.Open("DELETE", EventIDURL, False)
    Call xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("Authorization", GoogleToken)
    Call xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("GData-Version", "2")
    Call xmlhttp.setRequestHeader("If-Match", "*")
    Call xmlhttp.send("")
