Hi, just wondering if anybody has code to generate just a colored square with the Google Charts API? I want to create the "labels" in HTML and use the colored squares for the bullet points, to match the colors in the pie chart.
Since it is all done in Javascript, I need the ability to create images of squares of varying colors... I hope it would be OK with Google. I have also created another "extreme" use case a while ago. For my "Twitter-This" Link generator I use the Charts API to create just images of numbers, so that I can show them as a counter for remaining characters in the background image of the web form - see http://blog.blinker.net/2009/06/05/creating-twitter-this-links/#twitterThisForm While I am quite optimistic about the colored squares, I worry a bit that Google might frown about the later use. After all, a single form could create 140 charts. Then again I suppose they are cached, so the strain on Google should not be too much (especially since nobody visits my blog). Overall I think the Charts API is great!
