Hi all,

In the next few days, we will release a new version that fixes a bug
in the axes of bar charts using chxt and either chbh=a or chbh=r.

Although we try to avoid non-backwards-compatible changes as much as
possible, this fixes a bug(*) that causes axes to have unexpected
behavior with chbh=a|r. Your charts will *not* change if you also use
chxl for axis labels or chxp for label positions.

The two cases where your charts will change are

1. Bar axes: You use chbh=a|r and have axes showing below the bars.

Before the bug fix, the bar axes showed 0, 25, 50, 75, 100 on the
first five bars and nothing after. After the release, they will show
the bar index, which is the same as without automatic bar widths.

Before example:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=x&cht=bvs&chd=s:c9uDcF&chco=76A4FB&chs=200x125&chbh=a

After example:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=x&cht=bvs&chd=s:c9uDcF&chco=76A4FB&chs=200x125

If you don't want your charts to change, use chxl to specify the labels:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=x&cht=bvs&chd=s:c9uDcF&chco=76A4FB&chs=200x125&chbh=a&chxl=0:|0|25|50|75|100

2. Non-bar axes: You use chbh=a|r and a custom range from chxr.

Before the bug fix, the label placement was slightly off. After the
release, the placement will be correct and the same as without
automatic bar widths.

Before example:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=y&chxr=0,0,240&cht=bvs&chd=s:c9uDcF&chco=76A4FB&chs=200x125&chbh=a

After example:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=y&chxr=0,0,240&cht=bvs&chd=s:c9uDcF&chco=76A4FB&chs=200x125

If you don't want your charts to change, make the range maximum the
maximum label shown. In this example, that new maximum is 200:

http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxt=y&chxr=0,0,200&cht=bvs&chd=s:c9uDcF&chco=76A4FB&chs=200x125&chbh=a

Sorry for the inconvenience, and happy charting!
