Besides postscript or pdf, it would also be fine or maybe even better to
have some source script for Asymptote [1] or even an ipe [2] source xml
file as possible output format. Both asymptote and ipe compile nicely to
pdf, but have the advantage of some post-processing without the use of
commercial pdf-editors.
