I feel a bit sheepish about posting to this list, but I've just posted
set of files to:

In short, roogle_graphics is a Ruby package that makes it easy to
generate .png files containing basic text and polygons.  In a few
lines of code, you can generate good looking graphics where you have
complete control over the placement of the text and polygons.

Why do I feel sheepish about posting here?  The png files are
generated using the Google Chart API, but it essentially subverts
everything "graphlike" that the Chart API is capable of.  Instead,
roogle_graphics turns off the axes and allow users to place arbitrary
text and polygons.
