I'm on SQL server 2005, using google charts and the sp_send_dbmail function. What I'd like to do is use SQL to generate a URL for google charts based on data in the server, then send a daily e-mail to a list of people who wish to receive it as an image within the e-mail. All of those people will be using Gmail.
Sending this image tag, which is taken directly from the chart wizard, seems to work, the image displays fine: <img src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart? chxt=y&chbh=a&chs=300x225&cht=bvg&chco=A2C180,3D7930&chd=t: 10,50,60,80,40,60,30|50,60,100,40,20,40,30&chtt=Vertical+bar+chart" width="300" height="225" alt="Vertical bar chart" /> Sending this image tag, that's been generated from the server data, does not - nothing displays at all (if the alt tag was specified, that would show up.) <img src="http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?chxl=0:|5-3-2011| 5-4-2010&chxr=0,0,1799|1,0,1799&chxs=0,676767,10.5,0,l, 676767&chxt=x,y&chbh=a&chs=300x300&cht=bvs&chco=FA0C0C,FF9900,F0F80A, 37FD05,0854F6,FD0AE9&chds=0,1799,0,1799,0,1799,0,1799,0,1799,0,1799&chd=t: 546,467|64,53|236,159|54,90|899,936|0,45&chdl=Paid|Free|Citypass-Go +Chicago|Members|School+Groups|Adult+Groups&chg=0,-1&chma=0,0,0,10| 5,15" width="300" height="300" alt="" /> Even more frustrating is that when I send the e-mail to a non-gmail account, it seems to work. I'm at the end of my rope. I am very new to SQL and to the charts API, so I apologize in advance if I've missed something obvious.
