Can someone tell me why dynamic updates to charts takes so long? ... I
have a very simple spreadsheet (3 columns ~30 rows) and a simple pie-
chart that is tied to the data. If I use javascript methods of
rendering the chart in my web page, it takes roughly 5 minutes
(sometimes more, sometimes less) to update. The chart is regularly
polling for updates, but the only result returned is a "not_modified"
error... suggesting that the data wasn't modified.

If I embed the chart as an image, and refresh it every few seconds...
updates are near-realtime.

Why is that? Why can't I get dynamic updates in a near-realtime
fashion? I don't mind a delay... but 5 minutes is far too long. And
why is there a "refreshInterval" if the javascript chart is going to
be "lied" to about updates? Am I doing something wrong?
