This goes along with my earlier post and will probably repeat some of the same info.
In specifying ALL 48 continental states for the US, my pin-flags get placed correctly by using the "absolute" numbering to match the order in the &chld parm. #1.. How do we code the API parms to "place hold" the color for the selected area when they are not in sequence? Such as... US-AZ = 3 index, US-MO = 23rd index, US-SC = 39th index. I need to colorize these items while leaving all the others in the parm as UNSELECTED. However.... the API does not seem to allow for this?? As an "idea", how about a parm setting to colorize the selected area based upon what is found in the 4th value of each &chm string?? (ie: &chco=unselected- color,low-color,hi-color,m where m is optional? This update would not require users to change their existing API string to keep them working.) Using the &chco and &chd parms will only colorize the items as they appear in the &chld parm US-AZ|US-AL|US-AR ..... |US-WY #2.. &chtt, &chts: is it possible to make the background for the chart heading any color we choose? #3.. &chld: is it possible to somehow specify only the states I want to "select", but also show the other states too? Currently, if I code only 3 values, I see only 3 states with the rest blank. #4.. crop out un-needed land mass area (the area from NE Minnesota down along the US/Canadian border up to and around Maine. #5.. if US-AK and US-HI are added to the &chld parm the continental US ends up becoming much smaller/distorted causing the pin/flags to overlap. Someday AK & HI may be referenced in this dynamic map chart. Here is my API string: http://chart.apis.google.com/chart?cht=map&chf=bg,s,0000FF25&chs=500x250&chld=US-AK|US-AL|US-AR|US-AZ|US-CA|US-CO|US-CT|US-DE|US-FL|US-GA|US-HI|US-IA|US-ID|US-IL|US-IN|US-KS|US-KY|US-LA|US-MA|US-MD|US-ME|US-MI|US-MN|US-MO|US-MS|US-MT|US-NC|US-ND|US-NE|US-NH|US-NJ|US-NM|US-NV|US-NY|US-OH|US-OK|US-OR|US-PA|US-RI|US-SC|US-SD|US-TN|US-TX|US-UT|US-VA|US-VT|US-WA|US-WI|US-WV|US-WY&chd=t:0,50,100&chco=F5F5F5,999900,999999&chm=fTolleson\,AZ,FF0000,0,3,10|fExcelsior+Springs\,MO,FF0000,0,23,10|fColumbia\,SC,FF0000,0,39,10&chtt=US+Plant+Locations&chdlp=t&chts=FF0000,15 Thanks for looking this over & for great APIs INCLUDING reCaptcha!!!! -Scott -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Chart API" group.
