Greetings,
I would like to report that the google user brent.asselin ( [email protected]) is trying to release a code as open source that doesn’t belong to him. He was part of a closed source project, but after some misunderstandings with the other members, he is threatening to release the code as open source in the following group http://code.google.com/p/shadowbane-emulator/. The project in question is an online game. I’m not involved with the project by any means, but just like the entire community that closely follows it, I’m sure that opening the code will only do harm, as it will provide enough information to the future users to create exploits and cheats. It’s also fair to say that, although the project leaders plan on keep it closed source, they don’t have any plans on charging the users – so far they have been providing resources (work, servers, bandwidth, etc) by themselves.
