Growl (project name growl) is a Mac OS X toaster-notification system. As of version 1.3, the developers have taken the project closed-source and now charge for the software through Apple's Mac App Store.
Source code history on their Google Code project ends with version 1.2.2. However, they continue to use the project bug tracker for later versions.
