Hi M, I'm just a user of code.google.com, I'm not part of the official support, but my advise is to write to the the AlgoTrader team. As far as I understand open source licences, just because a software is open source, it does not mean that the author does not have the right to charge you for a copy. It does mean that the author is obligated to make available in some way the source code to you but it does not mean that he has not the right to ask for a fee. There is a varaiety of os (open source) licences and to find exactly which one the AlgoTrader team uses you'll probably should contact them. You may find it helpful to check this links https://code.google.com/p/algo-trader/ - the google code page of the project, http://www.algotrader.ch/ - their main page, as they refer to it and maybe write to [email protected] .
