So what is everyone thinking of using for this?
Language/IDE(or no IDE)/system/keyboard/whatever?

I'm using my dual-display 32-bit vista system, one screen for code,
the other for more code, and analysis of problems/input/output, plus
my good old aluminium clipboard for my doodelings to help me visualize
solutions.

I'm likely to use Sun's Java, with the latest Netbeans release. If I
feel the problem is "really easy" I'll probably bust out notepad++ and
write it in VBA (or similar). I was debating using a C-based language
[c, c++, or any variants] but decided to stick with Java. I would
prefer to use VIM but I feel it isn't worthwhile to install on
windows... it just feels dirty.

I'm using a good old IBM Model-M keyboard circa 1988. Best keyboard in
the planet. I highly recommend the Model-M to all programmers that can
type fast -- if you can, get a USB model-m (won't be IBM made), just
for compatability sake.

I'm going to be drinking Jamaican Blue Mountain instant coffee, and
Tazo Green Tea, instead of energy drinks.
And snacking on some scoop chips + dip.

My SVN server esploded, so I'll be doing source management via "file-
>save as..." =/
