I've been in at least the last 3 codejams, and have never had any difficulty in the qualification round. Today I sat down to qualify and it was a real challenge!
Not only were the problems tricky enough that I failed on the small input a few times before succeeding (on all three problems), but the large input contained such a huge jump in data size that my algorithm which would comfortable solve small input in 100ms couldn't solve large input in 8 minutes!
