I haven't had time to read the problems.

But if you go to the contest dashboard now there's probably a link called
"contest analysis" where all problems are explained.  I'm not sure if it's
already up because I haven't checked, but I think it should be up by now or
it will be soon anyway.

Also, you can check in http://www.topcoder.com/tc and look on the left side
navigation for "algorithm tutorials" there are many tutorials on important
topics, I recommend checking dynamic programming and graph theory.
