Google can call you even if your participation was not good. I solved just 1 
problem and google called me, I failed their test anyway but it was a good 
experience overall and the recruiter tells you can re-apply when you are ready 
again contacting him.

If you think a little about this, just being here shows that you are interested 
on programming challenges. You probably have the potential to beat the problems 
with a little practice.

I liked to compete in the acm icpc too, but in my university, competing was a 
bit against you because it takes study time while Calculus is beating you off 
:D
