Hi James, I'm sorry you are disappointed, but I'm glad you think Code Jam is perfect in every other way.
However, Code Jam can actually be better in lots of other ways too. We didn't say this was impossible, we said infeasible, by which we mean "the benefit/cost ratio on it is significantly worse than the benefit/cost ratio on lots of those other things that would also improve the contest". I hope you find those other things to be at least a bit of a consolation as they come.
