Right now the Container Engine Release Notes
<https://cloud.google.com/container-engine/release-notes> do not contain
versions of contrib projects. It this because contrib project versions are
pinned in the kubernetes release? Is there a way to quickly tell what
contrib version(s) are released in a particular version of GKE without
spinning up a cluster?

I wanted this information for GLBC, but I could see this potentially being
useful for other contrib projects.

I've found the GLBC version information in:
kubernetes/cluster/saltbase/salt/l7-gcp/glbc.manifest . But does GKE use
these salt configuration files?
