Hi, 1.) Automatically - no. You will have to modify the about text of your gadget to include the version. 2.) I'm not sure. It usually takes a few weeks for changes to be reflected on the webpage. After you change your gadget file it probably takes about 2-4 weeks. 3.) You can use XMLHttpRequest to check for updates on your webpage and download the new version or just redirect the user to your webpage with release notes.
