1. Do not worry, the Google Desktop Team is normally working that the user can choose his install location.
2. On the first time you install Google Desktop it only indexing 100,000 files per drive during the initial indexing period. If you have more than 100,000 files in a particular drive, Google Desktop adds files to your index during real-time indexing when you move or open them. But if you close the gadget, it doesn't start again when you restart Google Desktop. 4. There is reason why reboot after the uninstall Google Desktop. This make sure that all the Google Desktop index are removed and no process (application) running of Google Desktop.
