Hi Jens,

Do you got the latest version of Google Desktop? (Now current 5.9)

Note: You can also change self the width of the Google Desktop
Sidebar.
Just place your cursor over the inside edge to display the resize
arrow. Then click and drag the sidebar to the desired width.
