Hey guys I got tired of our national radio station only supplying a net radio gadget for Yahoo's desktop bar so i decided to do one on my own.
I have successfully added a medie player object into the gadget, it plays and stops just fine. I have successfully gotten a details view working and displaying all the stations they supply (a lot) However i run into an architectural problem. Both views share the same javascript and thus i hoped they would share the same instance of that script which they ofcourse dont. So when i click a station in the details view it starts playing in that instance instead of the Play/stop/volume main view. How can i pass data between the views? Im looking to send a URL onclick from the details view to the main view. Giving each view their own script is an obvious first step, but what then? Also can i change elements on the detailsview? Im trying to get some remote control running aswell so i can select various stations and see which one its targetted by bolding it. Normally i would get the labels element by name or ID using DOM but it obviously doesnt work cross views. Can i really only send data back and forth limited to those handfull of flags? --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Google Desktop Developer Group" group.
