Hello mrf, The function listbox_onclick() works only when you click on the listbox background. If you click on an item, the function will not be called. I can see you try to use the same function to the listitem_onclick, but it won't work properly.
When you click on the listitem, the program will first call your function, show the alert, and then, it will set the listbox.selectedIndex. So, you will see the index of the prevously selectedItem.
