Hi Ty,

Have a look at the Google AJAX API. The new ClientLocation will give
you what you need:
http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/documentation/#ClientLocation

I have started using that (for experiment) but I have not yet used it
in a gadget, but this should work just fine.
