Some users have complained recently that they can't add my gadgets in Blogger. I've confirmed that attempting to add them them gives this error message:
> We are sorry, this gadget appears to be broken. > This gadget has errors, and cannot be used until fixed. Learn more The "Learn More" link goes to http://help.blogger.com/bin/answer.py?answer=98380. It implies that there's either an incorrect XML spec or the gadget is inaccessible from Blogger. The gadgets work in iGoogle, so the first doesn't seem correct, and the XML files are reliably hosted, so the latter doesn't seem likely either. The gadgets in question are http://calebegg.com/countdown.xml and http://calebegg.com/binclock.xml. They work fine in iGoogle. Other of my gadgets do work in Blogger. The only reason I can think that these don't and those do work is that these two are the only two that are internationalized. The countdown gadget has been updated for v2 (has a canvas view), but the binary clock doesn't, so I don't think it's that. Additionally, Blogger seems to be getting its title data from one of the non-default locales for the countdown gadget, but not for the binary clock. I don't know if this has ever worked or if it's a new problem. Suggestions?
