Hi Steve, I understand you can be unclear on this. There is nowhere in the AdSense policies or guidelines where you can read a clear statement about AdSense and gadgets. If you ask AdSense technical support, you will most likely get confusing answers. While working out the outage earlier this year, one of the AdSense tech support person said this was no longer allowed, and then this comment was retracted. Keep in mind that I am not a lawyer. I am only sharing what I understand based on my interpretation of the TOS and previous posts in this group. I hope this still help a bit.
