Hi, I don't see why it shouldn't be there immediately. I didn't subscribe to the feed until after I found out about adding the image tag. It's not like I added it and then added the image tag later, so it can't be stuck in the cache with the non-image feed. Given that, the image should have been indexed when I added the RSS feed to my page.
