1/ To rename a gadget, just change the gadget name in your gadget
spec. Within 2 weeks, the directory should show the new name for your
gadget. You can expect your existing users to see the name change
happening much faster on their iGoogle page.

2/ To locate your own gadgets, assuming you have been consistently
using the same author email address, you can query your developer page
with a URL like this one:
http://www.google.com/ig/directory?type=authors&url=youremailaddress
Or you can search for your gadgets by something specific to them (for
instance if you are hosting them on your own domain, your can search
for your domain in the iGoogle directory)

3/ I don't think this is a good idea to remove and add again your
gadgets for changes like a rename. Your existing users would loose
your gadget, which will be a big annoyance to them. If by rename you
are thinking of changing the gadget spec URL, and not changing the
gadget title as I assumed here, then this can be achieved by
requesting an alias. Please read this thread in that case:
