Hello,
I have recently started developing gadgets, and based on the docs I
started using the gadgets.* API. I was surprised to learn that I
couldn't use it from iGoogle without using the sandbox though. I
avoided the legacy API since "legacy" typically means it is not
preferred and likely to be dropped in the future. However, as far as
I can tell, you really can't use the new gadgets.* API in a production
environment yet. Is there a way for actual end users to use gadgets
that use the non-legacy API (other than the sandbox)? Perhaps I
missed something obvious.

I found some old posts in this group that said the sandbox iGoogle
would go live in summer of 2008 or not long after the new iGoogle UI
went live. I believe the UI update happened in October of 2008. Is
there an expected release date for the gadgets.* API? Please let me
know so I can decide whether to revert to the legacy API or hold out
for deployment of the new iGoogle. Thanks for the help.

David Thulson
