I checked every day and today the changes came through. Thank you!

So for the next person who requests a alias change: the duration was
about 7 days.
The ratings did get lost (I knew that and I didn't mind).

More important: the user settings still work! And this gadget wouldn't
return results after a quick page reload but it does now. And it's
also working much faster! That may have to do something with Google
Code Hosting instead of my ISP (my ISP is Xs4all in the Netherlands,
which is the best in the Netherlands as far as I know).

So I'm all happy!!
