Hi Sam, I don't know your issue exactly, but just looking at your urls I can see a potential future issue.
With Google pages they have a bandwidth limit and several people trying to use google pages to host their gadgets run into issues where their service is disabled if you exceed your unknown bandwidth limit (they don't disclose your daily bandwidth limit with lame claims of "security reasons"). If this happens and people get errors using your gadget they more then likely will drop it so it may possibly explain a reason for sudden drops in your use. But, the gadget caching should help in some regard but is not a fool proof cure and wont help if your linking to content on your google pages site. Since Google pages is basically no more and has been replaced with the even more restricted/limited google sites this will probably introduce even more issues with your gadgets since the sites team seems to have no intention to provide the ability to upload files like you can with google pages. (also reading posts in the google pages groups on it) Long story short, I would maybe look at changing where your gadgets are hosted, like if they are just xml files then use the GGE to upload them to your limited account space, or use google code or some other alternative to help prevent these unexpected service issues. Just a thought is all. ;-) Additional info: "We are no longer accepting new sign-ups for Page Creator because we have shifted our focus to developing Google Sites" (it also seems they are pulling back on bandwidth for pages too) And "If you are currently a Page Creator user, you can continue to use Page Creator and your pages will automatically be transitioned to Google Sites later this year" But it said that last year (mid 2008), so it is bogus info again so who knows what to expect with that service but to switch asap if you value your apps ;-) http://pages.google.com/-/about.html#faq Cheers!
