Currently I have to 1) edit my code 2) ctrl-a 3) ctrl-c 4) click the browser with gadget editor 5) ctrl-a 6) ctrl-v 7) file->save 8) click the browser with the iGoogle site 9) reload 10 GOTO 1
Is there anything I could do to have the work of steps 1..8 automatically done with only one mouse click or one call to a shell script, so I could bind it to a hotkey in my editor? Maybe I can somehow mount my google gadget folder via WebDav or FTP? iGoogle gadgets are a nice thing with some potential but developing in the above way is clearly no fun. I have seen references to some kind of gadget designer IDE that would require me to install an entirely new desktop environment only to get this IDE running, but this sounds hilarious to me, I don't want to develop desktop applets, only some iGoogle gadgets with some html+JS, there surely must exist something in between these two extremes? A preconfigured little webserver with all needed server side stuff already installed maybe or something along these lines?
