I'd like to write a blogger gadget that hides email addresses, so I'd like to be able to take an email address entered by the blog owner as a user preference, and generate a scrambled key for that email address and then delete the plain text email address. Is there a way to edit the preferences to do this? If I just take the email address as a preference you can see it right in the html where the gadget is loaded from, which defeats the purpose.
