The animal quote of the day module violates the TOS. When the code is embedded on a web page, that web page will not load completely, but will redirect to thepetlist.com, a site from which it is difficult to escape, no matter which browser you use. Embedding the gadget on a web page interferes with the functioning of that web page, which is a violation of Google's TOS. If you are very, very quick with the mouse, and you click the stop button within microseconds of trying to access your "real" page, it will not load the redirector. You may have to play with it for a long time to get the entire "real" page loaded so you can view the source code, which is how I found out where the redirect had been coming from. I thought my web site had been hijacked. I did send a complaint to the page's developer, but I doubt that will have any effect, since I would assume that thepetlist.com has paid her to make sure that people go to their site without being able to escape.
