Ah, sorry. Some of the older versions of the client library did
support .NET 1.1 but the recent ones do not. You can maybe try one of
the older releases:

http://code.google.com/p/google-gdata/downloads/list?can=1&q=&colspec=Filename+Summary+Uploaded+Size+DownloadCount

But it won't have support for some of the more recent extensions like
Contacts and YouTube. Since .NET 2.0 is already two years old, I think
Frank (the client library maintainer) decided it was finally time to
upgrade, especially for the collections support that was added.
