Bump... Same problem here.

I found on the plugin facebook page a post from the developer:

The uploader follows the API specifications laid out by Google here:

Unfortunately, it doesn't seem like the Linux version of Picasa
supports these buttons properly; they never send the POST data with
the photos. If anyone can find a third party button (like this
Facebook one) that works with the Linux version of Picasa, please let
me know, as it might help me get it working. Without such an example,
however, it's difficult to know where exactly the problem lies.
