Have been on holiday and for first few days when plugged in card reader with Canon CF card my pictures downloaded onto netbook (I have asus eee 900a linux). Then when downloading next set of pics a file was downloaded as '131CANON' but there was nothing in it, at least not that I could find. The reader light was flashing suggesting it is all working OK.
Now when I take pics and link up to netbook with the card reader it does not upload anything at all. I know the reader is not faulty as it works on my desktop pc. I did start taking RAW images half way through the holiday - could this be the problem? Somewhere on the netbook are my pictures but I do not know how to access them!! I would happily reset netbook to factory settings to see if this helps BUT this means losing pictures which must be somewhere!! Any help much appreciated.
