I recently installed Picasa on my ubuntu jaunty jackalope. (I am
experienced with picasa, having used it on Windows for years.)

I first tried the new 3.0 beta version. I found that when I wanted to
move some pictures into a new folder, two strange things happened:
1) After duly selecting "Move to New Folder..." from the right click
menu, picasa created a new ALBUM, not a new folder, and moved them
there.
2) The pictures, though appearing in this album, also remained in the
original folder. Normally, the selected pictures should MOVE, not
simply get copied to a new location.

Both of these things are, well, weird, not to mention highly annoying.

by the way, thinking this might be a beta glitch, I uninstalled and
downloaded the 2.7 version--and the same thing happened.

What is going on?
