The new picasa 3.5 is supposed to show a map (MSHTML windows from http://maps.google.com) for easier geotagging without GoogleEarth.
On windows this works very nice, a new sidebar is show on the right side with a map. On my linux, nothing :( Even though explorer replacement wine_gecko shows the map on web without a problem. > I assume you are referring to picasa 3.5?? yes > ?? google maps /= picasa ?? With the new 3.5 picasa uses google maps from web utilising MSHTML window.
