I'm running Picasa 3.8 in Ubuntu Meerkat through Wine. I downloaded ./ picasa38-setup.exe , then executed it through WINE. It works as well as any Ubuntu install, as far as I can tell, except for one huge problem: The text for albums and folders doesn't appear. Picasa can still see and edit their names, and search for these folders and albums, it just can't render the text.
Here's a screenshot of the problem: http://fightingfeynmans.com/Picasa3-missingtext.png I'm thinking this may be a missing font problem (I was able to change the menu bar font simply by installing Tahoma.ttf). Have I diagnosed the problem correctly? If so, what font might I be missing? If not, any idea how I can fix this?
