Picasa Beta 3 is *not* the latest, picasa38-setup.exe is the latest!

I didn't mis-read your post! *You* are running the windows version of
picasa, there is *NO* other! The package designated as "for linux" *is*
the windoz version including a tweaked version of wine.

"Interesting", your word. Factual would be better descriptive.

Having a good day, 3rd Dox XXs

Why don't you download the windows, picasa38-setup.exe and install it:
  wine ./picasa38-setup.exe

And you will have the ability you say you don't have. Perhaps you misread
my reply :^).
