I was recently distro shopping
I set up on a Virtual Box
there were a few checkpoints
does the distro playwell with the google products I use & like?
Chromium is open source, but it's difficult to see much difference to chrome
Picasa of any version
google earth
these all work nicely with my 5-6 google accounts
chromium & earth are properly ported as far as I can tell
even the bastardized, picasa is miles beyond shotwell/f-spot for
functionality

OBO <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lMChO0qNbkY> [our benevolent overlords]
get around to improving the small bugs or at least using the patches other
users come up with
could things be better?
sure
I don't feel abandoned
a bit neglected possibly :D
