I want to build an animation using Google Maps in order to benefit from the mercator projection.
I have reasonable experience with Google Earth and KML but this will be a new departure for me. The project would come in two forms - both would use a +/-180 Long, +/-90 Lat view of the earth. 1) Animation of a large number of (lat, long) points with what in KML- speak would be <timespan> expressed in UTC 2) Animation of polylines - again with <timespan> I might want to create this as a video - is this possible? Can someone please give me a steer as to how I should start. (Assume that I know nothing!
