Hey there. I am attempting to display Google Maps in my Adobe Air for
Android app and I get the following error: "Initialization failed:
please specify an application URL." displaying on the map MovieClip
(rather than the map). I’ve read the section in "Developing Adobe Air
Applications for Android" about the code changes to Air Apps and seen
example code for Flex, but I’m publishing through Flash CS5, not with
Flex/Flash Builder, so I’m not sure how to implement the adjustments
as described in the Code Changes for Air Applications section of the
FlexBuilder Tutorial. Also, the same document mentions that "...you
can edit the application descriptor file in a text editor." However,
when I do this, Flash appears to overwrite the xml file when I
publish.

My code should be correct since when I publish to Player 10.1 the map
appears as expected. When I change it back and publish to Air for
Android, I get a gray box with a white textField in the center that
displays the error message above.

Any advice on how to implement the two code changes through Flash CS5
would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks.
