1. Create your own map from the "My Maps" panel. 2. Get the embed code from the link icon and put it on a test page. 3. The map will load as expected. 4. Go back your "My Maps" panel and check the box to view a map created by another person. (you must obviously have a map shared with you, browse for one if you need something to test with.) 5. Refresh your test page and the map will now load your first map, then reload to display the "created by others" map.
