Set up a <div id="yourdivid" > in your LHS column. Then you can write
to it from a "click" event handler. e.g.
function createMarker(point, icon, ..., deatailHtml) {
var marker = new GMarker(point, icon);
...
GEvent.addListener(marker, "click", function() {
document.getElementById("yourdivid").innerHTML = "your
details";
}
...
}
